Wow

So, I am really not very good at this whole blog thing at all. This was the busiest summer I think I have ever had and therefore, I had no time to update a blog. Sorry. Maybe next year will be better. If I ever think of anything else to write I will. Peace out.

Season 8 Top 12 Results show

Opening number – that is a big skirt she has on. I really like the fans and how they come out on the beats. This is really good. Powerful and hard hitting and the girls look sexy without being gross. I really enjoyed that.

First two couples – Clarice and Jess and Caitlynn and Mitchell, I like Caitlynn and Mitchell, but loved Clarice and Jess last night so I don’t know. I thought Clarice and Jess were great last night so I want them to be safe, even tho I don’t really like Jess. I didn’t like Caitlynn and Mitchell’s first dance, but I think most of that was the story and it failed miserably. Their second dance was really good tho, so idk! I am actually happy Clarice and Jess are safe this week because I loved them last night. I am sad for Caitlynn and Mitchell.

All-stars!!! Oh no! Alex got hurt again. Yes!! Allison, Twitch and Chelsie oh and Comfort too!!!! Yay!! I wish Kent was an All-star.

Next two couples – Melanie and Marko and Ryan and Ricky, obviously I want Melanie and Marko to be safe and I don’t really like Ryan and Ricky so I want them to get out. Good, I don’t think that was a shocker to anyone.

Last two couples – Sasha and Alexander and Jordan and Tadd, I want Jordan and Tadd to be safe even though I didn’t like their second dance. I think Alexander nailed his second dance and for that reason I hope he makes it to next week because he might be ready to shine now. I want Tadd to be safe tho too. Yay, I am glad they are safe and I am pretty sure they will keep Sasha, not sure about Alexander though.

Ok, I think Ryan and Ricky should be out tonight.

Jason Samuel Smith and Group – I love when tappers make the beat. Wow. This is incredible. I do not understand how they can do that and do that so well. I knew that was the girl from before! I knew it.

Solos:

Caitlynn – wish she wasn’t dancing to lady gaga. I like her. She is pretty.

Mitchell – Not sure what he is wearing, but that’s ok I suppose. Wow, that spin into the splits was crazy. I just don’t know about that.

Ryan – I don’t mind this solo, but I don’t really like her and her legs or feet are weird.

Ricky – Ricky might be in trouble. The first half of his solo wasn’t so good. A lot of walking around the stage, his spins and his last trick were good, but idk.

Uh-oh wrong camera shot.

Sasha – this song is catchy so I am more into her solo. I think she will be safe. I think it is time for Ryan to go.

Alexander – whoa he has tights on. Ballet solo, not sure what the judges will think about it. It’s like ballet and Paso Doble all rolled into one. I don’t know he might be in danger.

Nicole Scherzinger or whatever - She is so gross and she isn’t even good at singing. What is with the jump rope move in the dance. Is this her only song? I have already heard her perform this on American Idol I think. I do appreciate that she has some bigger longer shorts on so we can’t see everything even though it is a terrible outfit. I think this is a waste of time.

Results

Girls – Caitlynn looks so nervous. Ryan looks rough right now. Sasha is pretty. I am glad it is Ryan. I feel bad for her, but everyone knew it was coming. I used to like her more, but she just lost something, she got annoying looking and her legs bothered me.

Guys – Mitchell looks very worried, Ricky is trying not to cry everyone loved his solo, I didn’t, Alexander, I am actually a little bit surprised. Not a lot, he has been skating though on Sasha’s coat tails the whole time. It’s just a shame he peaked so late.

I am alright with the results. He never really clicked with me and she got annoying so that is ok.

Season 8 Top 12 Performance

I will get back to the ones I missed, but for now I have this show to comment on. Hope you enjoy.

Cat looks weird tonight. It is an ugly dress.

Wow, Sonya on the panel, that means no Sonya dances. I have never heard of that guy before. Jesse has an interesting suit on.

Sasha and Alexander – Paso Doble – They are missing hands a lot. I don’t think they are actually doing very well. I think it is sloppy. I also felt like they weren’t hitting hard enough to go with the music. Nigel says it is stronger and not as sloppy as I think it was. Oh well. It was a different type of Paso because there was no cape, but it was ok. I enjoyed the concept, I just don’t think they nailed it. The Jesse guy is a little fem for me, but that is ok because he is funny. I don’t see her as all that strong, they say stuff about Sasha being super strong every week, I guess they see her intensity as strength. Maybe she seems so strong because Alexander is not.

Jordan and Tadd – Contemporary – I am surprised this one isn’t all about friends and a relationship. I don’t remember the concept, I wasn’t exactly listening, but I like the dance, it seems cool. I think they are doing well. Yea, I am not sure I get it, but it was good and pretty powerful. Hahaha, Jesse made a funny, saying everybody knew this story and that it was common, and then the “in it to win it” Randy Jackson comment. Good stuff, I think I might like this judge. It is crazy to me how far Travis has come and how he can choreograph things every week and incorporate the dancers’ strengths.

Ryan and Ricky – Broadway – Could be a fun concept. I don’t like her legs, there is something about them that isn’t graceful, it is almost like she is pigeon toed or something. It was alright. I agree with Jesse, it didn’t sparkle, it wasn’t anything really special. I agree with Sonya too, it was just ok. I just don’t think I am really a fan of Ryan anymore.

Caitlynn and Mitchell – hip hop – I am afraid the concept will be overworked, but I hope it is good. I want this to be better. I just don’t think this style works for Mitchell, I don’t believe it at all. Caitlynn is a little more believable, but not much. Ok, I am not sure how that really represented the kids who are pulled off to war, but I mean I guess good for him trying to plug a good cause. I agree with Sonya, the lack of synchronization made it a little bit difficult. I agree with Nigel too, I didn’t get the abductees thing, but hopefully their next dance will be better.

Melanie and Marko – Tango – Good, no story line, just the dance! I am not sure her legs should be that bent with all of the moves. Also I am not sure their arms are high enough. The little move off the side of the stage was pretty cool. Wow that flip thing at the end was crazy and scary. I don’t know what it was about this dance, but it made her legs look stumpy and not graceful. Tremendous in comparison to before, doesn’t necessarily mean it was tremendous, but I guess it was according to Nigel. I liked Mary’s little overview of the different types of Tangos, that was actually interesting to me. I like what Sonya said about them and them being timeless, but I wasn’t wild about this dance.

Clarice and Jess – hip hop – Uh-oh, not sure how this will go. I love lyrical hip-hop. I think I will like the concept. I just hope it comes out in the dance. It is good so far. Wow, Jess can do some sweet moves. I was not expecting him to be good at this. But he is doing well. Aww. I really liked that. And I think they both did very well. I was pleasantly surprised with Jess on this. Mary should definitely not dance in her seat like that ever again. Ahaha. It was so good, it just made me happy and I loved that he was trying to tell her she didn’t need to change.

Sasha and Alexander – jazz – I liked Alexander’s aerial. I think they did better than the first dance. I am pretty sure they definitely messed up the end. Me and Jesse (the judge) could be friends and just talk about SYTYCD all the time. I agree with Sonya, Alexander just finally did it. He was jumping higher and hitting harder this time. I want to know what the ending choreography was supposed to be that Sasha messed up, guess I will never know. Mary kinda nailed it about Alexander, he did just let go.

Jordan and Tadd – Broadway – what is with these crazy stories. Haha what is with the kisses this season? What are they wearing? I think people are on Broadway because they couldn’t be real singers. This song isn’t very good to me. And for that reason, the dance wasn’t good for me. I agree with Sonya, it was underwhelming, and a jumble of things and I didn’t like the music. I think I missed some of the dance while I was typing and making sure I was not having a million typos. I like them, so I hope they are safe.

Ryan and Ricky – Cha-Cha – I am afraid of this one. I don’t think she will be very good. And I only see him as a cheerleader now. Them trying to be sexy with each other just creeps me out because I don’t buy the chemistry. It isn’t as bad as it could have been, but I just can’t get past how awkward she looks with her legs bent. I feel like that dance would have been wayyyyy better with two other dancers, like Jordan and Tadd, I think they would have nailed it. I didn’t even look at Ricky, I was too focused on how awkward Ryan was.

Caitlynn and Mitchell – jazz – hahah she can’t slap him. I think it’s cute that she can’t slap him. Oh nice song. I am thoroughly enjoying this. Haha. Their lift down into the split was really good and powerful (the one Mary mentioned). I think she almost came out of the top of her outfit. I agree with Mary, it was all of those things she mentioned.

Melanie and Marko – contemporary – their outfits made it look like it would be good and simple, lol. I really like the movement, I think it is pretty and very nice. I am not so sure I fully understand the concept, but it is still really pretty and nice. “My brain just exploded” hahaha “It’s like Braille on my arm right now” I thought it was really good. I agree, there is definitely something about these two together. I agree with Nigel, it just felt like they were dancing, not following steps.

Clarice and Jess – jive – eek. Jives are tough. I think Jess will be fine at it, because he is an actor basically. I think Clarice will be fine. She is pretty. I think they are actually doing really well. The lifts scare me because Jess is so small. Wow, Jess’s split thing was crazy. I thought they were actually very together, and basically nailed it. Hahaha I like Sonya and her comments, they are funny and are pretty accurate. I thought they did really well and I think the music helped and that they should be safe.

The people I think should be in danger are, Ryan and Ricky, Jordan and Tadd (unfortunately, because I like them, but their second dance just wasn't good), and probably Clarice and Jess even tho I don't think they should be this week and they surprise me every time. Actually, maybe Sasha and Alexander will be in the bottom. Oh, and Caitlynn and Mitchell might be hurting because of the first dance. I don't really know who it will be, but I definitely think Ryan and Ricky. The only couple I think should be safe this week because of the dances is Clarice and Jess, which is strange because I don't really like him. I wasn't wild about Melanie and Marko's first dance, so they could be in danger too.

Season 8 Top 20 Again Results Show

Cat looks nice tonight.

Opening number: Tyce or Chris did this I think. Or maybe nappy tabs or maybe Mandy Moore. It is very interesting. Whoa I liked all the stuff at the end to come back to the suit case, all the freezes. Oh man I was completely wrong. I forgot about Dave Scott. Oops. I liked it, not my favorite, but it was good.

Alright, first three couples: Poor Wadi, he felt so bad last night. Yea, I kinda guessed they would be in the bottom three, partly because my mom didn’t write spoiler alert on her email and I didn’t know she was going to mention tonight’s results. I am glad for Mitchell and Caitlynn. I think she is really pretty. I liked Sasha and Alexander’s dance so I hope they are safe, and they are, good.

250,000 is a lot of money. Oh Lauren! I like that Twitch is on it too, go Gatorade! Oooh gift bags!

Ok, next four couples: Miranda and Robert, I don’t really care either way about them. I liked them more this week than last week. Melanie and Marko, I really like her so I hope they are safe. I knew the way Cat read that and by how many couples were left on stage that they were all going to be safe. Alright next two couples. Jordan and Tadd, I loved their performance last night so I want them to be safe, and I don’t really care for Iveta so I hope they are not safe. Yay, Jordan and Tadd are safe! Not surprised about Iveta and Nick.

Next three couples: Ashley and Chris, oh yea, I liked theirs, I hope they are safe. Good, I am glad they were safe, I am surprised they told them without talking to the other two first. Ryan and Ricky, I didn’t like their dance so I would be fine if they were in the bottom, but I don’t like Clarice and Jess more so I hope Ryan and Ricky are safe. I think Jess and Clarice are in the bottom and I am wrong and surprised. Wow.

Rage Crew: Oh yes, little kids, I love when little kids dance. They look like they are from the 80’s in a bad way, the girls that is. Like they should be at jazzersize. Those little girls do not need to be dancing like that. I like all the tumbling. They should be wearing more clothes. I mean it was good I guess, I think I am just thrown off by the sketchy dance moves that those young girls were doing.

Solos:

Wadi: I like Wadi, but his solo is not very good. It is a lot of walking around, at the beginning at least. The tricks were cool.

Missy: I don’t like the flexed feet. I liked that her whole solo wasn’t super overtly sexy

Nick: I like his solo, I really am enjoying this. That was great.

Iveta: Good grief she is so thin. I am not liking this solo. Her legs were too far apart on that one part where she was just shaking and gyrating so it looked vulgar and just not very good.

Ricky: Wow, he is really good at spinning. And he is very thin too and lanky. Landon thinks he is gone.

Ryan: Whoa that first little move was unexpected. She moves her legs in weird ways. I do not like this solo. That was very weird. Idk who will be safe after that.

The singing group, and Quest with Hok! I'm sad Dominic (or should I say Dtrix isn’t in Quest anymore). Wow that guy with the big chain and the glasses and fro looks super goofy. The dancing with the music is fun. I think this group is very awkward and a bunch of jokers, Landon doesn’t mind them. I mean one dude has a cardboard box on his head. What is this?

Decision: Girls – I agree with Nigel about Ryan, and I don’t like that Nigel through Wadi under the bus again when talking to Missy. Wow, they kept Ryan. I forgot they only got to keep one. Our TV is going in and out again. I hope I don’t miss anything else. The sound guys were good, they muted Cat's mic when she needed to tell them where to go. Guys – Wadi, I agree he hasn’t gotten a chance to do his thing, and I agree he didn’t do his best tonight. I think Nick was great and I am glad the judges appreciate tap dancing. Ricky, he did do well tonight, he gave it his all. Ricky is trying so hard not to cry. Poor Nick and Wadi. I am going to miss those two. There are too many guys on this show that are exactly like Ricky, these other two, especially Nick are the only one of their kind. I am sad that they are gone. It is a shame Nick got Ballywood and that Wadi got the cha-cha last night. Bummer.

Oh well, it happens, people have to get kicked off I suppose. I just wish it wasn’t them. Can't wait for next week. Tune in and watch and then see what I have to say, haha. Enjoy!

Season 8 Top 20 again Performance show

I was pretty freaked out when I saw the president’s address thing, I thought I was going to miss something. Glad I didn’t miss anything.

Who is Debbie Reynolds? Oh, Singin’ in The Rain, that is what I thought

Ricky and Ryan – jazz – I think it is funny that Ricky said that Ryan’s leg hair grows fast. I am excited to see Mandy Moore. I am not looking forward to it now though because it is going to be so sketchy. This is scandalous. The tricks would have been way cooler if it wasn’t so sexual. Landon thinks if they were to make a modern version of dirty dancing it would be like this. Nigel used the perfect word. It was raunchy. I disagree with Mary, I think it was too x-rated for the little tykes at home.

Caitlynn and Mitchell - contemporary – I have a snuggie! I love Stacy Tookey! Oh and I totally love props, just ask Stevie. He thinks I only like the ones with props because they have props. Oh, Adele, people will love this. I loved the part where she dove through his arms and then flipped over in his arms. I really liked that dance. Stacy did so well. I liked how the spot light cut off on Mitchell on the end too. Caitlynn seriously got punched/scratched in the face and is bleeding. I feel like Debbie doesn’t have anything really to say. I really enjoyed the dance. Stacy is so good. I wish I had vision like she has.

Missy and Wadi – cha-cha – That rag that he used to get rid of his chest hair was disgusting. hahaha Wadi is funny. Oh man Jean-Marc, good stuff. This will probably be a little sketchy. This song is crazy. I think they are doing really well with the dance though. I saw a camera guy on the stage I think (looks like they are out of practice and aren't on point yet). I think they did really well. I think Jean-Marc did a good job with that and them. Wadi might remind me a little bit of Dominic with the whole never wearing heels thing. I guess Nigel is probably right, but I didn’t notice any of that. I was just enjoying it. I like that Mary is actually giving some useful advice. I don’t care what the judges have to say, I thought he did really well. I feel bad for Wadi, he is upset and hurt now.

Nick and Iveta – Ballywood – uh-oh. Haha she said he had chicken legs. I like Nakul, he always does a good job. I like Ballywood alright, I hope they do well, but I am afraid they won’t. Oh, they started out well and then they got off on timing. They got back together though so that is good. They got off again. Whoa that spin thing was cool. It was alright. It seemed chaotic to me. They did better than I thought they would. Haha he has sensitive eyes. It really bothers me how negative Nigel and Mary were to Wadi and how neither of them said anything about them getting totally off from each other multiple times in this routine.

Miranda and Robert – hip hop – hahaha she has a crush on Tadd. That is funny. YES!! Nappy Tabs hip hop! I love nappy tabs. They are doing very well. They are hitting really hard. Op, they got off on one of the lifts and I think it through them off and then she didn’t land her flip. I think it was good, but could have been better. I wish they would have her wear her hair down. Whoa her eyelashes are out of control. Oh wow, so are his. Hahaha wow, Debbie just did Woody the wood pecker, Robert loved that. Wow, I do not agree with Nigel’s statement that she is the best contemporary dancer to do hip hop. I agree that I was happy I didn’t hear any “woos.”

Clarice and Jess – contemporary – Yes, Stacy again. This reel of lifts going wrong reminds me of Dominic and Sabra when he dropped her all the time. Clarice moves so easily and is so graceful. I mean Stacy Tookey can make anybody look good. I didn’t like the one flexed foot Clarice did, but that is very typical Stacy Tookey choreography. Haha Debbie is kind of creepy, lol.

Jordan and Tadd – Viennese Waltz – I love these dances, hopefully this one is good. Tadd just called her dumb, haha. I love that Tadd is OCD, slightly. That is awesome. Jean-Marc again, he choreographed Kherrington and Twitch’s Viennese Waltz that was stunning, so there is hope. Oh and another prop. DAVID COOK! There is so much going for this routine. I hope they do it justice. Jordan just hit Tadd in the face on one of their moves. I loved that. I have never seen Jordan that classy. I thought it was wonderful. I love this style of dance. False, Nigel, with these absurd comments about being the best. Dominic was the best bboy. The whole thing was so graceful and elegant. I liked it a lot. They just looked like they were enjoying themselves and out of one of those good old dance films.

Melanie and Marko – jazz – How strange that she has such issues with her ears. These two are just so good. I think she is my favorite. Marko dropped his hat, but got it back pretty quickly. I liked the first half of this dance better than the second half, but I liked it. I thought it was really good, but I think it is because I like this couple so much. She looked a little bit like Bones when she was asking for her numbers.

Alexander and Sasha – hip hop – This one will be similar to Joshua and Katee, but the follow up of it apparently. This is going to be so good I hope. Oh man, I love Nappy Tabs dances like this. I can’t believe Diddy changed his name again. I like this song tho. This is soooo good already. That was so good. I loved it. I loved the story of it. Sasha killed it. Katee and Joshua felt it more, but it was still really good.

Ashley and Chris – Broadway – Hmm, more props. This should be interesting. This is going to be scandalous. Whoa that was a crazy start. This is really good so far. The bars don’t look very sturdy though. He just dropped straight onto his booty. I am getting a little dizzy with all the camera spinning stuff. The use of those bars to hang on them in crazy ways was cool. I really liked that. That was a great routine by Spencer. Haha that was a creative way for Mary to put them on the Hot tamale train.

Great show tonight. I think it will be a tough cut tomorrow. I think the Iveta and Nick Ballywood, the Clarice and Jess Broadway, maybe Ryan and Ricky jazz might be in trouble. It is tough though. I probably wouldn’t put the Ryan and Ricky in the bottom. I would only put two in the bottom. I thought it was awesome tonight. Check back in for the results later.

Season 8 Top 20 Results Show

Opening group number - my guess is Sonya choreographed this, actually it
could be that new Chris guy. I liked it. I was right the first time. I
should have gone with my gut. It was really entertaining for me.

Anybody gonna learn the national dance day dances? I probably won't. I am not looking forward for
the Gaga stuff.

Glad Melanie and Marko are safe. Glad Wadi and Missy are safe, I don't
really like her, but I like him. I don't really care either way about Iveta
and Nick being safe. I do not like Jordan's outfit tonight, the fringe on
her one boob is really weird. I am happy Ashley and Chris are safe, not
really surprised about Jordan and Tadd being in the bottom. Landon doesn't
think America will vote for her. Not really surprised about Jess and Clarice
being in the bottom, I think Jess is a little arrogant like one of the
judges said. I also don't think America really likes Broadway unless they are really likable.

The guest singer reminds me of Paris Hilton. And the blonde girl is
really trashy looking. Probably cus the dance moves aren't helping. Wow,
that was not very good. What a waste of time.

Ryan and Ricky, I am glad they are safe, I like her. Miranda and Robert in
the bottom actually kind of surprises me because everyone there liked it so
much. I am glad Sasha and whoever else is safe.

The Russian dancing is interesting, kind of boring, but impressive all at
the same time. He looks like the principal in the old Sister, Sister shows.

Solos:

Mitchell - I liked it alright, it seemed like he wasted the first 10 seconds

Jordan - I think her dancing is just really trashy

Tadd - bboy solos are tough for me, but I liked the end of it and that he
danced to non hip hop music

Clarice - I thought her solo was pretty shaky, but better than Jordan cus
her's was just pretty trashy to me.

Jess - He is good at pirouettes, I just really struggle with Broadway, and
Broadway solos. Idk, I guess it was good. Our signal for our TV is getting broken up
and we are missing parts of the solo.

Miranda - I liked hers the best, we think she danced the most and gyrated
the least. And I thought she was really pretty

Robert - I enjoyed his the most, which is kind of surprising because I think
he is kind of annoying.

VERY DISAPPOINTED that Gaga will be judging. Fortunately for us, we have dvr
and we got to skip Gaga's video.

Wow, a dance off. A little disappointed that the dance was the same until
the end. I didn't like that the first 5 to 10 seconds of Mitchell's was
standing on one foot.

Judges comments on girls: I'm surprised they were so positive about the
first two girls dancers, they didn't really dance that much.

I can't believe they are keeping everybody. I think it's cool that they kept
everyone so we could see more next week. Welp, I can't wait for next week.
